The end of the school year has finally arrived. After what has been another demanding, yet rewarding year, the staff and pupils are well in need of the break.

The Year 6 SATs results are really something to celebrate this year. The national percentage of pupils achieving the           combined expected standard of achievement in Reading, Spelling, Punctuation and Grammar and Maths was 53%. As a school our pupils achieved 71%. The children have achieved this despite the changes to the curriculum and assessment being ramped up. They achieved 76%(66%) in Reading, 71%(72%) in Spelling and Grammar, 86%(70%) in Maths and 71%(74%) in Writing. National figures in brackets. It is clear to see that our pupils have performed exceptionally well. Well done Year 6 – We are all very proud of you.
