Newsletter 24th March
With the weather perking up for the weekend and the clocks going forward on Saturday night, it really feels like spring has finally arrived!
The school, as always, is a hive of activity. You may have seen that we have recently had a tree removed in the area alongside the trim trail. This is in preparation for a new, all weather surface to be laid on Monday. We are also going to be surfacing the area under the Silver Birch tree in the KS1 Playground. This will provide us with two all weather surfaces which the children will be able to use year round. Also, as the surfaces are under trees they will provide fantastic shade during the summer months for lunches and just sitting out sharing a story as a class. The funding for this project has come from a successful bid from the National Lottery Awards for All Scheme. Those of you with children in Y3&4 will also be aware that we have removed the old coat hooks. This is in preparation for the installation of some new lockers. This, we hope, will allow for better storage of the children’s possessions and save coats from being draped over the floor. Both of these projects will be completed by the end of next week.
