The main aim of homework at Glenfall is to engender good study habits and to promote independent learning. All year groups have clear expectations that include children fostering an enjoyment of reading, the learning of multiplication tables and mathematical facts along with weekly spellings. In the Foundation Stage and in Key Stage 1 your child’s Class Teacher will ensure that you and your child know what is required for homework on a termly basis. At Key Stage 2 all children have topic related creative tasks to complete. This information will also be provided on a termly basis with dates identified for when homework should be submitted. The varying tasks encourage children to research, design and create. Sharing their ideas and final results with their class and families their achievements are then celebrated.
